Great Smoky Mountains
Parts of the road were particularly wet on this trip.
The trail up to the cabin is basically a gravel road - not well traveled.
We presume the upstairs area was where they slept.
We suspect this is in the kitchen.
As you round the corner, their house comes into view.

The trail winds it's way along a nice stream.
The Low Gap Trail goes past the ampithether that is inside of the camping area.
You can avoid walking on the road if you park at the Hiker parking (right at the pay station for campers) and follow the Low Gap Trail to the Lower Mt Cammerer Trail.
The trail gets very close to the road.
We noticed several piles of rock along the trail. They didn't appear to be part of a wall or anything else that we could think of.
At the first stream crossing, someone took the time to make a small stack of rocks.

I can't see the snake in the photo, but I remember it being there the day I took the photo - this was where we turned-around on the trail.
