Highlights
I took over 1,800 pictures during our trip to St. Augustine. We stopped in Charleston, SC on the way down, stayed in a condo on the beach just south of St. Augustine (crescent beach). We spent one day at Disney's Animal Kingdom; the rest of the time we bummed around St. Augustine and enjoyed the beach. Here are some highlights.
We stayed the night in the John Rutledge House Inn - I highly recommend this place!
The view from our condo. Not too shabby.
On our first day, we had to get our toes in the water.
We were up every morning to watch the sunrise.
We took the ghost tour and I captured one orb in the pictures that I took this evening.
"Charlie" was the guy that took us on the ghost tour of the Old Jail.
We went to the St Augustine Alligator Farm - I found the birds to be just as interesting as the alligators!
They did have a few alligators to look at.
We even managed to catch a sample feeding.
Evenings on the beach were very pleasant.
Tuesday, we went to Animal Kingdom. You get an up-close view of the animals on the kilimanjaro safari (I highly recommend this attraction)
And had to deal with the white rhino traffic (animals have the right-of-way).
The Lion King show was also great - not a bad house in the place.
Those windows are behind bullet proof glass. They are tiffany and worth $130 million!
They have some beautiful old homes in St Augustine.
You don't find a pirate ship at every dock.
The distillery - this is the entire operation
They just put bourbon into barrels - it'll be another 4 years before they are ready to consume.
