Tri-State Peak Marker Trail
Lori and I spent the day at the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. After stopping at the visitors center, we went up to the Pinnacle Overlook where you get a great view of the Cumberland Gap Tunnel while being able to view Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. We then went over to Cumberland Gap Tennessee and saw the remains of the old Iron Furnace (a very short walk from the parking area). I then took the 1.2 mile hike up to the Tri-State Peak Marker.
The hike itself was not difficult, but it was somewhat steep and I had to stop a few times to rest, but made the round trip in a little over an hour.
Pictures from our day there are available here.
